Jenna hwang

Owner / Director / Ballet Instructor

Jenna Hwang began her dance training in South Korea at the age of five. After moving to the United States, she continued her training at Sugarloaf Performing Arts, where she studied ballet, modern, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and tap.

Jenna went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with a concentration in Ballet from Kennesaw State University, where she was named to the Dean’s List throughout all four years. During her time at KSU, she performed with the KSU Dance Company and contributed as a crew member. Upon graduation, she became a founding member of the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre Professional Ensemble under the direction of Angela Harris and Peter Swan.

With over ten years of teaching experience, Jenna has worked with dancers of a wide range of ages and levels. Beginning as an assistant instructor, she observed and learned from a variety of teaching styles before developing her own approach centered on strong technique, thoughtful instruction, and a positive learning environment. As a lead instructor, she developed age-appropriate curriculum in creative movement, Dance with Me, ballet, stretching, and conditioning, always seeking new ways to make dance engaging and meaningful for young dancers.

Today, Jenna serves as the Studio Director and Dance Instructor at Dream Dance Studio. She is dedicated to creating a strong artistic foundation throughout the studio’s programs while helping each student reach their individual potential. Her teaching extends beyond technique; she emphasizes discipline, confidence, perseverance, and a genuine love for dance. Through individualized feedback, consistent communication with students and families, detailed demonstrations, and attentive observation of each dancer’s strengths and areas for growth, Jenna strives to provide every student with the guidance they need to progress.

Above all, Jenna hopes to make a lasting, positive impact on her students—not only as dancers, but as individuals. She hopes that when her students grow older and look back on their childhood, they will remember their time in her classes with happiness and know that it was a meaningful and special part of their lives.
